Massage therapy is an integral part of maintaining your body and of helping return your body to optimum health and function. Since we have a musculo-skeletal system, it is important to address both components in your treatment plan at Mountainview Chiropractic Center, to achieve the highest possible result.
Massage is for the body. Massage is for the Spirit. We are Spirit, having a human physical experience. As such, our bodies and our cells store the memory of all our experiences. In this modern world, many times our incoming experiences come so fast and in such quick succession that we cannot fully process them. This is what causes “stress” in the body. Whether the stress is sudden, as with a car accident, or long term as with emotional stress or repetitive use injury from doing the same activity day in and day out, the result is the same; soft tissue contractions and adhesions which lose their ability to let go. The nervous system responds similarly, going into overload and losing its awareness of the parts of the body which have gone into distress and which are out of synch.
Most often our stress, our unresolved experience, is held in the soft tissue (muscles and fascia) and the nervous system. Manual therapy, or massage therapy is one of the best ways to help release these held tensions in the body, in the mind, and in the nervous system. Massage therapy relates to chiropractic care since it is the muscles which when stressed, forgotten and tight, will inhibit the proper function and balance of the skeletal system.
Our three massage therapists have over 40 years of experience between them. David Fairman, Jules Pellerin, and Nori Shaeffer offer the highest caliber of healing touch available in the field. Whether you come in conjunction with your Chiropractic treatment, or specifically for the restorative and corrective benefits of therapeutic massage, you will walk away happy and much more at ease in your body and in your life.
We look forward to meeting you. We look forward to serving you.
