  • This is known as an instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization.
  • An advanced form of soft tissue mobilization that is used to detect and release scar tissue, adhesions, and restrictions throughout the muscular system.

Active Release

  • This is a method of soft tissue release that is so very effective.
  • The patient will engage or contract the involved musculature in a dynamic posture or position while the treatment is provided. An example of this would be a runner that stands with their weight on one leg, or a swimmer that will lay down with one arm up and over the head, in the exact position where the pain or tightness is noted while swimming.
